Racing has been canceled for this Saturday, August 13, in honor of former Beaver Creek Speedway and Toney Speedway track owner, Gary Jones. Gary was respected and admired for his ability to do anything that he really wanted to do, sometimes with very little. Gary had a way of making things work even when the odds were against it. I’m happy that Gary is no longer suffering, but I do miss him. I send condolences to Gary’s family.
Visitation is at Hazel Green Funeral Home, 13921 US-231, Hazel Green, Alabama, on Friday, August 12 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Golightly Cemetery.
